Speaking of smoking. Last week we were at a Cruise night. Hubs and I were sitting in our space. (generally people sit behind their cars) But there was no spot so we sat beside our car. Hubs lit up a smoke. Owner of car next to ours decided to put his kids in his car. This was right in the path of were hubs smoke would be going. Guy says to hubs, could you smoke somewhere else, you smoke is going right into my kids face. Ok so I'm thinking, then why did you put your kids there in the first place, did you not see hubs smoking and where the smoke was going? The guys was a real ass in the first place. Most folks out there are very friendly. He had an attitude the minute we parked. (jealousy I suspect)
Hubs and I did however move away as to not nit pik and get into a row over the smoke.
But....as soon as hubs put out his cig...the guy let his kids out of the car.
Hmmm, what does that tell you?

That reminds me of a similar thing when I was smoking maybe 15 years ago before all of the restrictions were in effect. I was at an outdoor farmers market and I was leaning over a counter looking at some hand-hammered silver. I had a lit cig in my hand, but I had my hand at my side cupping the cigarette so as not to be offensive. This guy is leaning over trying to see around me, inches from my back and notices the cigarette and taps me on the shoulder and tells me I ought to smoke somewhere else, that I nearly burnt his wife. I was all apologetic and stuff and stepped back from the counter...which he immediately moved in on. His wife looked at me and smirked. I thought about it later and it pissed me off. He was the one invading my space, dammit. He shouldn't have been leaning over on me and I was a sucker for moving. Damned preppy tourists.
