ABC Misrepresents Palin Quote in 'Holy War' Question
Millions of TV viewers who watched ABC News' interview with Sarah Palin Thursday night never saw her take issue with a key question in which she was asked if she believes that the U.S. military effort in Iraq is "a task that is from God."
The exchange between Palin and ABC's Charlie Gibson, in which she questioned the accuracy of the quote attributed to her, was
edited out of the television broadcast but included in official, unedited transcripts posted on ABC's Web site, as well as in video posted on the Internet.
Apparently this isn't all they edited out. Some of the comments I read online last night were about how shallow some of her answers were. I know
everyone will be shocked but she actually had some in depth answers, particularly about Pakistan, which got edited out of the aired version.

Citing Faith and Fate, Some Choose to Ride Out Ike
SURFSIDE BEACH, Texas - Authorities say tens of thousands have ignored evacuation orders and are staying behind as Hurricane Ike takes
aim at the Texas coast. An Associated Press survey shows that in three counties alone, some 90,000 people have chosen not to leave despite dire warnings from
forecasters.
I'm all for faith and trust in God but sometimes God expects you to use common sense. Speaking of, her is a video of Geraldo getting smacked down by
the hurricane - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZS92GpzAnY

McCain Gets Grilled on 'The View' Over
Palin
Later asking about McCain's strict interpretation of the Constitution, she added: "Should I be worried about being a slave and being returned to
slavery? Because certain things happened in the Constitution that had to change."
This question was in the context of asking about the Court potentially overturning Roe v. Wade and how McCain wants to appoint strict constructionists to
the Court. Does Whoopie not realize that the Constitution has been amended re: slavery? A strict constructionist judge isn't going to do anything to put
slavery back into effect just as no court outlawed slavery - it was the constitutional amendment. John McCain's response to Whoopie "I see your
point" makes him just as big a tool as Whoopie in my book.

Cops: Wisconsin Mom Posed as Daughter to Be Cheerleader
GREEN BAY, Wis. - A 33-year-old woman is accused of stealing her daughter's identity to attend high school and join the cheerleading squad. Wendy Brown
is charged with felony identity theft after enrolling in a Wisconsin high school as her daughter. The criminal complaint says Brown admitted to telling school
officials she was 15 because she wanted to get her high school diploma and join the cheerleading squad. She allegedly attended practices, received a
cheerleader's locker and went to a pool party at the coach's house. The complaint says Brown has a history of identity theft. Her daughter lives in
Nevada with Brown's mother. There was no attorney listed in Brown's online court records. Her home number could not be found.
