So it seems he is basically replicating his recovery program off of the New Deal. So I have been doing some study (refresher course). But I wonder, do we need
such drastic measures just yet. The New Deal was to bring us out of a depression. We don't have people in soup lines yet. Also, we already have so many
programs which never existed then. (to help the poor) The New Deal really helped but what got us moving economically was the war. That got us out of the
deficit created (our borrowing) from the New Deal. How will we deal with that?
Does anyone thing that our ideas of poor and needy, are very different from the times of the New Deal.
Are we in a state of fear, enabling this whole plan to be adopted prematurely?
