Charles Grassley, the Republican Senator from Iowa, said "I would suggest the first thing that would make me feel a little bit better toward them if
they'd follow the Japanese example and come before the American people and take that deep bow and say 'I'm sorry,' and then either do one of
two things: resign or go commit suicide" ( of the bonus recipients).
He also said AIG was "sucking 'the tit of of Taxpayers".
I find the first statement ignorant, and the second one downright crude and classless. That first statement is also dangerous given the new mob mentality against anything corporate executive related in this nation. He should be ashamed of his use of words. I'm very disappointed in him. If I lived in Iowa, his office phone would be ringing off the hook, and I wouldn't vote for him again.
